🏷️ Markup Calculator
Set a selling price by marking up your cost. If a widget costs $40 and you want 50% markup, the selling price is $60. This tool also works in reverse — enter cost and selling price to see both markup and profit margin (they differ).

Markup vs margin?
Markup is profit / cost (multiplier above cost). Margin is profit / selling price (% of revenue). 50% markup = 33% margin. Easy to confuse.
Typical retail markup?
Grocery: 5-15%. Apparel: 100-300%. Restaurants: 200-400%. SaaS: 60-90% gross margin.
